Whilst i was watching Robin Hood, the cartoon version obviously , it made me think about realism as we all know that robin hood is a true story, whereas this cartoon version is bound to be slightly incorrect in certain areas so does this make it realistic? After all i doubt there was a talking fox running around the forest.
However the cartoon might not be correct in some ways , but it is based on a true story so therefore it makes you think that it must represent realism in some aspect. within the parts that robin hood was a person that helped the poor and was a well known hero. this film gives you some idea of what robin hood did for the people and what he represented, it also gives you a real feel for the characters. i fails to make you see it as a true story with all the characters being represented as animals and songs in the film make it seem like a fansty world, which is good in its own little way as after all it is a children's film.
if you compared robin hood to other disney films , at least this film is based on a true events where you get certain films like snow white which isn't true , which then stands the point does this have any kind of realism involved at all in the film and is it just a fansty film. you could say that there is some realism involved in snow white as the film has dwarfs in the film, this is not fansty as this could be classed as realism.

i believe you can see realism how u want to see it and understand it how you understand it, and there will never be a real answer to whats real and isn't, as everything is real in its own kind of form.
