on screen violence

There are many films that have a lot of on screen violence they range from cartoon to horror films action films romantic films...u name it most films have some kind of on screen violence.

The violence is shown in many ways as in the music, sound affects and many other ways a good example of this is Bambi when his mum gets killed its the sound of a single gun shot and then he runs so theres a lot of music hyping up to weather he will get away or not. this kind of on screen violence is very different to the kind of on screen violence to the saw films where there is a lot of people dyeing through people being cut up by machines. however both of theses films are very different , the on screen violence is quite similar as both of the characters where killed for the same reason that someone wanted to kill them.

does 3d have a big affect

We had a seminar on 3d affects and how it affects a film....we used avatar as a example and however it is an amazing film in terms of the looks ...but does the 3d have a massive affect on it . Most of the film is green screen including the main characters, personally i think the 3d and the animation combined does add some kind of not realistic feel , even so theres not many 7ft plus blue people running around ...just the concept of how brightly coloured and smooth texture adds some kind of not realistic feel.

But then there is the other side that a lot of people found the film so realistic that they became depressed and wanted their lives to be as good as the avatars and ended up killing themselves over it , so then that makes me think because we analyse the film do we look for faults and make ourselves pick up things and choose not to watch the film with a open mind and then does animation and 3d really have a good affect on the cinema today.

Bambi

Bill did a lecture on Bambi , and i wanted to talk about it more in depth as i personally love the film Bambi...when i was a child i never really like the film , but as iv e grown older i have began to gain a love for the film the way the music creates to the atmosphere, there isn't that much talking in the film itself, its more about the scenery and the music created..

the scene where Bambi's mum dies is a rather horrible scene where u just hear the gun fire ...and you find out that she is in fact dead...then the film just goes on to show how Bambi grows up and becomes to see more of his dad and then falls in love.

Bill was talking on how Bambi was one of the first animated films to have depth created in it...and this makes the film a good form of realism.i personally didn't no this but when you do watch the film you do begin to notice this.
